Brittney Batton is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Amplify Psychiatry and Wellness. She brings nearly a decade of nursing experience, specializing in person-centered care that empowers individuals to actively engage in their treatment.
Brittney earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, where she trained as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She also holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and Psychology, which laid the foundation for her combined clinical and behavioral approach to care.
Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Brittney completed her Nurse Residency in Pediatric Critical Care at Texas Children’s Hospital and went on to work in one of the nation’s busiest, highest-acuity pediatric critical care units. There, she honed the sharp clinical judgment and assessment skills she carries into psychiatry today.
Outside of work, Brittney is either with her family, aggressively befriending every dog in sight (none are safe), or escaping into the woods with camping gear and questionable cell service.

Through her work in the Pediatric ICU, Brittney witnessed the emotional toll high-pressure environments place on families, medical professionals, and first responders. This experience now fuels her focus on treating mental health conditions related to occupational stress and the psychological impact of chronic illness—whether someone is living with it or caring for a loved one.
